Music at the Market

This week at Music at the Market, we're featuring Clifford-O! Clifford Okamoto, who has graced farmers markets across King, Pierce, and Kitsap Counties for over a decade, discovered his musical passion in high school and hasn't stopped performing since. Drawing inspiration from blues, jazz, rock and roll, and a touch of country, he delivers a blend of beloved covers and original compositions. Discover his tunes on YouTube by searching for clifshand. Join us for a delightful evening filled with community spirit, melodious tunes, and warm sunshine...and don't forget to grab dinner from one of our prepared food vendors!

Heartfelt thanks to Bremerton Office Machine Company for their ongoing support of Music at the Market in 2024! To express your appreciation, consider stopping by their shop located at 245 4th Street, Suite 503, in Downtown Bremerton. Who knows, you might discover a vintage typewriter that becomes your new treasure!

Guided Market Tour

This week, join our market ambassador, Allison Degracia, for a tour of the Bremerton Community Farmers Market. Allison, a Public Health Educator with the Kitsap County Health District specializing in Chronic Disease & Injury Prevention, will guide visitors through the market, demonstrate how to make the most of SNAP benefits, and answer any market-related questions. The tour begins at 5pm at the Market Info Booth. We hope to see you there!

Yoga at the Market

Thrive Yoga Manette offers Yoga at the Market on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. Join them at the market this Thursday, July 25th, at 5:30 pm for a complimentary yoga class suitable for all ages and skill levels. Remember to bring your yoga mat and relish the stretches on the grass under the beautiful weather. Don't forget to mark your calendar to ensure you never miss a class!

Market Tokens

Remember to bring your market tokens when visiting our vendors. The $5 tokens are as good as cash, and all vendors accept them. The $1 tokens are exclusively for SNAP recipients and can be used for purchases typically made with an EBT card. If you have any SNAP Market Match coupons, don't leave them behind. We will honor expired ones and can be used with our produce farmers and produce reseller vendors.

Kitsap Harvest at the Market

The mission at Kitsap Harvest is to minimize produce waste and provide fresh, nutritious, and locally sourced fruits and vegetables directly to low-income housing, senior centers, recovery facilities, shelters, and soup kitchens within Kitsap County. The Grow-A-Row program bolsters this mission by inviting gardeners of all levels, from experts to enthusiasts, to cultivate and contribute surplus produce. Weekly donation stations are established throughout the county for collections, including at the Bremerton Community Farmers Market. In 2022, the BCFM alone amassed over 900 pounds of produce, generously donated by individual gardeners, farm vendors, and patrons who bought extra to give.

Engage in the fight against food insecurity and food waste by supporting the growth of Kitsap County's capacity for sustainable, community driven care. For additional details, visit Programs – Kitsap Harvest or inquire at the market's information booth.

REDUCE FOOD WASTE. DONATE FRESH PRODUCE.

Do You Love the Market? Let Everyone Know!

Businesses, including farmers markets, rely on reviews from the community to get feedback from customers. It also helps businesses get found easier online, builds trust with consumers, and facilitates word-of-mouth advertising. But more importantly, reviews help businesses know what they are doing well and what needs improvement. The Bremerton Community Farmers Market invites you to leave a review on any of the following platforms:
