What's Happening at the Market on May 25th

Thursday, May 25th, 2023, from 4:00PM - 7:00PM

Evergreen Rotary Park, 1400 Park Ave, Bremerton WA

This week's Music at the Market features Aaron McFadden! Stop by for good times and good tunes every Thursday from 4-7pm. A huge thank you to the Bremerton Office Machine Company for sponsoring this program. See you at the market!

Sallie's Custom Clayworks is having a "Paint Your Own Pottery" event this Thursday, from 4pm to 7pm, at the Bremerton Community Farmers Market. The cost will be $10 to $15 depending on the piece you choose to paint. Everything needed to complete your project, from materials to firing, is included in the price. Participants will paint their pottery this Thursday, May 25th, and come back to pick it up the following week, June 1st. Come out and enjoy this fun activity when you visit the market this week!

You asked for more dining selections at the market...we have two vendors answering the call: Heathens Bakery & Stuft Waffles.

Heathens Bakery will be offering large and small charcuterie boxes, a caprese sandwich, and a salami and Swiss sandwich with roasted red pepper on their famous garlic, oregano, and rosemary focaccia bread starting this Thursday, May 25th at the farmers market! Prices start at $5.

Also at the market this week, Stuft Waffles will be bringing back their Monte Cristo Stuft Waffle! This is a wonderful twist on a classic: ham and cheese with a dollop of jam on the side, lightly dusted with powdered sugar. Be sure to see them before 6:30pm to get your order in.

Next Week: Thursday, June 1st, Mark Your Calendars!

Come out for our first Kids Market Bucks Club of the 2023 market season! The Westsound Beekeepers Association will be at the Bremerton Community Farmers Market with

FREE activities for 3- to 12-year-olds.

Kitsap Harvest Grow-A-Row

Kitsap Harvest gleans produce from around Kitsap County and distributes it directly to community members facing hunger and food insecurity with the help of its volunteers. They are combating hunger and food waste by picking fruit trees, collecting produce donations from home gardeners and community gardens and delivering the food directly to partnering organizations including senior centers, recovery centers and homeless youth and veteran services.

If you have produce you'd like to donate, there are donation stations at Bremerton Community Farmers Market, Port Orchard Farmers Market and Kitsap Community Food Co-op. Sign up for their newsletter and stay up to date on all things Kitsap Harvest! Email info@kitsapharvest.org for questions.

Market Tokens Are Money!

You may have a goldmine just laying around your house! Did you know there are many market tokens circulating in our community and no one is using this valuable resource? Don't miss out...check your glove box, your junk drawer or the bottom of your purse. Tokens don't earn you interest or increase in value if you save them, so dig them out and bring them to the market. What will you buy if you find some at your house?
