Kid's Market Club
Bring your kids ages 3-12 to the market for our first in-person Kids Market Bucks Day since 2019, sponsored by United Way Kitsap! The topic will be Healthy Soils and Plant a Veggie. First, the kids will visit Jeff Rupert and will do a hands-on learning activity with red wriggler worms, then, they'll head over to Lauren Liming with Kitsap County Public Works Solid Waste Division to learn about composting with worms, and then finish the activity by visiting Jess Sappington with WSU Regional Small Farms to plant either sweet peas or green beans to take home! Once the child has completed the activity they will receive $4 to spend at the market on fresh fruits and veggies. Help Support the Market
You can help support the market by purchasing a tote bag, t-shirt, tank top, and/or sweatshirt! This year's fun design was created by local artist Evelyn Husband. After each market day the seagulls swoop in to eat whatever food has been dropped so we thought this design was perfect! We'll have totes, t-shirts and tank tops for sale at the market booth. If you'd like to order ladies T's, plus sized t-shirts, or sweatshirts, you can order them directly from Fingers Duke until May 16th: Preorders open between April 21st–May 16th. (printavo.com)
Our Musician This Week
Ryan Sellers, the lone member of “Someone”, will be this week's Music at the Market musician. Ryan is a solo artist that started writing and preforming music in 2012. Originally from Milwaukee WI, he is influenced by many 60’s and pop punk bands. "Someone" has three original albums and plays cover songs spanning from the 1950’s through the present day. Please come out and support this local artist!
Thank you to Bremerton Office Machine Company for making this program possible!
